Celebrities always seem so put together and have been a source of inspiration for my style wardrobe. Quickly upon trying to emulate them, however, I realise that I do not have the same waistline as they do or the same body type that many of them have attained. For that reason, I have found that I have to alter my look according to my body without giving up the celebrity inspiration. Among my celebrity fashion inspirations, there are five fashion styles that everyone can mimic with a little guidance. The following tips are what I have found helps me while style remembering my own body shape.

Spice It Up

One of the looks that I love to emulate is that of celebrity, and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham. Whether she is in the States or in the UK, her look transcends fashion. With a statement making style, her slim lines and severity of style shine through. Though, at least with my body type, not everyone is the same size as the waif star, everyone can still pull elements of her look. Among Victoria’s style notes are her unique and exaggerated accessories. My piece that makes me feel like Victoria is the large pair of sunglasses that she often dons. This accessory can be utilised by every body type so pick out your favourite wear and get your Beckham on.

Potter Girl

We have seen Emma Watson go from little girl to a sophisticated young woman in front of our eyes. Her style has equally evolved. No longer is she a young girl struggling to find herself, but a woman who has grown into a sleek and tailored look. As with Victoria, I do not have the lean body that this young starlet does. However, I achieve the Watson look by making sure that I wear tailored clothing that fits close to my body without hugging it. Also, as she does, I mimic her maxi dress style. This leaves those of all body types’ two options in achieving this celebrity look. Either tailor it or shorten it and you will find that you have the Watson look too!

Singing with Style

She may not be British, but Beyonce has become an international icon who has stormed onto the UK seen as much as in the States. Her style, too, is a perfect one to mimic for those with a curvier and less stick figure body type. The way to emulate Beyonce’s style is through recognising that curves are in style. Like her, try tighter fitting and tailored dresses with plunging V’s. These are perfect for nearly every body type because they do not run from imperfection but embrace uniqueness and grace. A slicked back hair style can also look like the Beyonce of today as well.

Stylish Vocalist

Another American important to the UK list of style crushes is Katy Perry. Once married to a Brit, Katy’s style is gorgeous and fun. She is not afraid to take risks and mimicking her style affords you this opportunity, too! When wanting to look like Katy, I reach for bright coloured pieces and flashy accessories. Because her style is outrageous and unique, this style is not only easy to emulate but also fun to do.

Punk Rocker Style

Finally, a woman who is making a splash with her style internationally is Rihanna. Her look is easy to emulate because it is all about attitude. To pull her look off, I wear black pieces with shiny studded accessories. I also choose to pop my lips with a red lipstick and pair my punk-driven outfit with a fierce attitude. This makes Rihanna another one of the fun and easiest of the five fashion styles that everyone can mimic.

Hey y’all! I hope all of you are doing great. I just wanted to share my latest haul from Firmoo. The lenses are so fashionable and trendy that i can’t resist to share and of course brag a bit about it. :P Lately I have been very fond of the geeky lens frame and to have them with animal prints makes it even more better. As I always say it, accessories can either make or break our look. Some tend to over-do things and some prefer to keep simple. I totally understand, as there are days that I prefer not to wear any. Then there are those days that calls for some style. To step things up a bit.

Some people may not realize it, being fashionable and stylish has its own benefits too. No, not just for the looks or for making an impression. Our choices can also help us take care of ourselves. How? Like for example… sunglasses! It helps protect our eyes from UV rays and other unwanted tiny object carried out in the air. This is even more useful for those who wear contact lenses… like me. In my opinion our health should always come as a priority. Even more with our eyes. I have had a very poor eye sight ever since I was little girl. If I am not mistaken I started wearing glasses at the age of 9 and it wasn’t easy. My family have had eye problems ever since. From near sighted, high myopia, toric and even glaucoma symptoms… which is why I try my best to take extra care of my eyes. Make sure you do too! Essential oils are not promoted in the way that most mainstream health and beauty products are in American media. Typical searches may be for acne, scarring, rashes or wrinkles. A plethora of essential oils exist that may help a given individual with her skin problem, but a few are becoming more popular.

Lavender Essential Oil (Lavendula Angustifolium, officinalis)

A few drops of tea tree oil added to a toner or to plain witch hazel astringent is effective for killing bacteria on the skin and preventing acne pustules and blackheads from developing.

Clary-Sage Essential Oil (Salvia scalrea) Also known to have antimicrobial properties, this lesser known essential oil adds a punch of germ fighters to a moisturizer or toner. About 3 drops added to a pump or squirt of moisturizing lotion will ensure that bacteria don’t have a chance on the skin and reduces the likelihood of acne pimples forming.

Sandalwood Essential Oil (Santalum Album) This richly fragrant oil is a common element in perfumes and colognes. It is packed with antibacterial and antifungal power and can be a potent anti-acne treatment. Adding a few drops of sandalwood essential oil to a homemade colloidal oatmeal and water mask or an over the counter clay or mud mask will benefit the facial skin immensely. The skin is likely to be calmer and less prone to developing any type of skin infection. Enlarged pores will be minimized by the cleansing and tightening action of the mask with the added infection-fighting properties of the sandalwood essential oil.

The results from using essential oils to treat acne may seem “miraculous,” but are really part of nature’s normal way of taking care of disease and infection-causing imbalances in the human body.

As a high fashion model I have long had a policy of no nudity or partial nudity in my photo shoots. For my recent Elle Brazil cover shoot I wore a body suit under a sheer dress which I now find was photoshopped out to give the impression of me showing much more skin than I was, or am comfortable with. This was specifically against my expressed verbal and written direction to the entire team that they not do so. I’m extremely disappointed that my wishes and contract was ignored. I strongly believe every model has a right to set rules for how she is portrayed and for me these rules were clearly circumvented.

Yes, people with high waist circumference are more susceptible to developing dangerous and life-threatening medical conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and high cholesterol.

How High Is High?

So the next question is this: what’s the “high” in terms of weight circumference that’s considered dangerous and unhealthy? Well, medical health experts have pegged the number as follows: for men, a waistline of over 40 inches or 102 centimeters is high; and for women, it’s 35 inches or 88 centimeters.

Now some of you may be wondering if pant sizes are considered accurate measurements for the waistline. They are not! Pants come in different styles and this makes them poor yardsticks of real sizes. For example, some pants are termed “low rise”; the waistline of these pants or jeans go below the hip bones. Some pants are called “high rise” - the waistline of this type of pants or jeans go well above the hipbone and navel.
